Commissioner Armon Drysdale is the kind of cop who wanted his cases closed, even if that meant busting the wrong guy. As a consequence he has an abnormally high conviction rate.
All the cops were scared to death of him. Tex Murphy had spoken a couple of times with him and made an unflattering remark about his lack of social skills. Mac Malden said Tex was lucky that didn’t end up in the drunk tank for a week.
He was a personal friend of Colonel Roy O'Brien and he investgated his disappearance, Tex being the only suspect. Tex however showed him the videodisc he snatched from the Colonel's ofice and persuaded him that he had nothing to do.
